It is important that design professionals understand the importance of green values, the challenges of circular economy and know how to use and combine both traditional and modern techniques. Service design know-how and design thinking combined with business principles know-how create a good foundation for today’s designer.
In design education you can choose your major subject in:

Your journey to becoming a designer
In the first and the second year of studies you:
- gain an understanding of the work process for designing and manufacturing products / services
- learn design skills
- understand sustainable and smart design
- deepen your understanding of the industrial operating environment of product design and manufacturing
- apply the lessons learned in practice by carrying out your first work placement (internship).
Later in your studies you:
- apply your professional competence to multidisciplinary projects
- use design methods to obtain user information
- practice the principles of shared expertise and teamwork in various kinds of projects
- refine your professional activities as well as your ability to apply a systematic and research-orientated approach to your work.

Learn through doing and making
Studies are implemented in the field-specific design learning environments at Hämeenlinna University Centre. You study in modern design studio environments, where you learn how to apply theory in practice – through doing and making. Design studies are orientated towards working life and students have the opportunity to cooperate with companies in their field in various kinds of projects.

We courage you to become international: our numerous international partner institutions offer you many opportunities for studying (international exchange) or doing a work placement abroad.
Wypis ocen (wypełniony komputerowo) – jeśli wciąż się uczysz i dlatego nie masz jeszcze świadectwa ukończenia szkoły średniej, bardzo ważne jest załączenie wypisu. Szczegółowe informacje na temat sposobu wypełniania tego dokumentu oraz termin jego przesłania znajdziesz tutaj.
Świadectwo dojrzałości – w przypadku ukończenia szkoły średniej nie potrzebujesz wypisu ocen – wystarczy, że do formularza aplikacyjnego załączysz Świadectwo dojrzałości wraz ze świadectwem ukończenia liceum (bądź technikum).
Spełnienie wymagań w zakresie języka angielskiego można udokumentować w jeden z następujących sposobów:
- ocena z języka angielskiego na Świadectwie Ukończenia szkoły średniej musi być min. 4 (tylko dla osób, które mają ukończoną szkołę średnią w momencie aplikacji)
- IELTS: 6.0
- TOEFL Internet-based: 60
- Cambridge C1 Advanced lub C2 Proficiency - 169
- Studenci są wybierani na podstawie ich wyników w nauce lub na podstawie egzaminu wstępnego. Kandydat nie musi wybierać metody selekcji studentów. Wszyscy kandydaci są automatycznie uwzględniani w obu metodach selekcji studentów.
- Egzamin wstępny składa się z listu motywacyjnego i zadań projektowych. List motywacyjny jest oceniany jako zaliczony/niezaliczony, a zadania projektowe są oceniane w skali 0-100. Kandydaci muszą uzyskać ocenę pozytywną w liście motywacyjnym i co najmniej 50 punktów na 100 w zadaniach projektowych, aby zdać egzamin.
