Learn about technology, innovative product development and sustainability
In 1½ years, you will become a competent and creative product developer who can integrate various technologies and knowledge forms in connection with the development of technical systems and products. You will get to work with all kinds of new technologies such as 3D printing, SMART solutions, drones, VR, simulations, IoT technologies and micro-computers – with a constant focus on user involvement.
The teaching is largely project-orientated, and we have close contact with the business community.
Become a strong developer and bridge-builder in the industry
You will be educated for a job in the industry. Your new knowledge is obtained in an industrial context – and you’ll learn about the production universe in Industry 4.0. At the same time, you’ll learn to use and disseminate the research results in the field.
On our programme, we work across disciplines, which will increase and strengthen your own knowledge and give you insight into other areas of expertise. With your new competencies, you will be able to build bridges between the various players in a product development process.
In order to be admitted to this degree programme, you must have completed the following programmes:
- AP Degree in Automation Engineering
- AP Degree in Energy Technology
- AP Degree in Service Engineering (high-voltage technology)
- AP Degree in Service Engineering (plumbing technology)
- AP Degree in IT Technology
- AP Degree in Production Technology
- AP Degree in Automotive Technology *
- AP Degree in Environmental Technology *

If you are applying without a qualifying Danish AP degree – but have a comparable educational degree – we will evaluate your actual competences and motivation.
You will typically find employment within companies dedicated to:
- Product development, complex IT and network solutions, electronic and technical data systems, complex building and production industry installations
- Building, design and planning processes
- Product development
- Project management
- Optimisation of production systems and processes
- Energy efficiency and installations
- Consultancy/advisory functions
And you could work with
- Coordination, project management, or technical managing
- Optimisation and operation of automated and/or production systems
- Design and construction of industrial products
