This programme is the Bachelor top-up for the Chemical and Biotechnical Science programme. The programme takes 1½ years and is a dynamic way to get a longer, higher education degree and additional job opportunities.

Enhanced professionalism, global outlook and interdisciplinary competencies

With a Bachelor in Chemical and Biotechnical, Food or Process Technology, your academic professionalism will be strengthened and your competencies in planning, coordination and project management will be improved. You will learn how to operate in national and international laboratory environments, and you will be up-to-date with the technological, scientific and social development.

You will be trained to acquire new knowledge within an area which constantly evolves. Your strengths will be the interdisciplinary focus, where you will be able to coordinate, facilitate and implement across various professions. You will also be able translate and implement technical research results so that they can be implemented in practice. You will use both your analytical and practical skills to solve tasks within development, product manufacturing and research.

Programme structure

The programme comprises a part common to all, three specialisation options, an internship in a company in Denmark or elsewhere and a final Bachelor’s project.

The common part teaches you how to apply mathematics, commerce, production and quality control, planning experiments and communication in relation to your specialisation. In connection with your specialisation you work with subjects that relate to laboratory, food or process technologies. You learn how to acquire and study new academic knowledge.

Before the programme begins you must determine which of the three lines of specialisation you will take.

Chemical and Biotechnical Technology

You learn to independently describe, analyse, critically assess and communicate test results in relation to chemical and biotechnical technology. You achieve how to draw conclusions and correlate with similar results. You acquire qualifications in the planning, realisation and assessment of multi-stage organic synthesis and fermentation - including upstream and downstream processes.

Food Technology

You learn how to identify, analyse and assess problems in relation to the production and quality of food. You work with packing, and learn to prepare, implement and be in charge of self-regulation systems. Finally, the programme teaches you to work in an innovative manner from conceptual stage to finished food product.

Ten kierunek studiów jest stworzony w celu uzupełniania Twojej edukacji jako Chemical i Biotechnical Analyst lub Process Technologist. Dlatego, jeśli chcesz zostać przyjętym na ten kierunek, musisz posiadać jeden z wyżej wymienionych dyplomów AP.

After 1½ years you will have the skills to tackle the tasks of the future in both public and private companies. With a Bachelor’s top-up, you can work at pharmaceutical factories, with research and development or as a teacher. You will typically be employed in a project management function where you will be in charge of planning, development, execution, documentation and quality assurance.

With a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical and Biotechnical, Food or Process Technology you will be working with research, development or production. You will typically be employed by companies that work with food, pharmaceuticals, biological, chemical or microbiological processes.
