With a Master of Science degree in Health Sciences, you will be ideally suited to tackle challenges at the highest level in all areas of healthcare. You will be well qualified to take on management or other senior posts at healthcare institutions, such as hospitals, nursing homes and residential care facilities. However, you might as easily take up a position at a municipal or regional health authority (‘GGD’ in Dutch). Alternatively, you could become a policy-maker or policy advisor at a local authority. You might also opt for a career in research, or take up a position at a government or semi-governmental agency, such as the Netherlands National Institute for Public Health and the Environment or the Healthcare Insurance Board.
The possibilities do not end there. How about a job in education, at a university or a research institute? You could also pursue a career in the services sector, in industry, at an organization consultancy or with a health insurance provider.
