Bachelor of Science Tourism
In a joint degree with Wageningen University we offer an academic bachelor’s degree programme where you will research the developments in tourism and its impact on society, the environment and the economy. The Bachelor of Science Tourism is the only academic programme in the field of tourism in The Netherlands.
In this academic bachelor’s programme you will combine economic, social and environmental sciences. You will study theories and concepts, will receive intensive training on research methods and will learn how to critically evaluate these. You will also get practical experience.
The Bachelor of Science Tourism is a three-year joint degree programme delivered by staff from both Breda University of Applied Sciences and Wageningen University. Year 1 and 2 take place in Breda. In the first year you explore the complex and multifaceted tourism phenomenon from different angles. In the second year you deepen your knowledge of sustainable tourism development. This year includes an international field project in Southeast Asia. The third year takes place in Wageningen and consists of a minor of your own choice and your bachelor's thesis.
During your studies you will move towards increased (educational) independence. This means educational guidance is at its height during the first year and gradually decreases over the next two years.

- Świadectwo dojrzałości – w przypadku ukończenia szkoły średniej nie potrzebujesz wypisu ocen – wystarczy, że do formularza aplikacyjnego załączysz Świadectwo dojrzałości wraz ze świadectwem ukończenia liceum (bądź technikum).

Spełnienie wymagań w zakresie języka angielskiego można udokumentować w następujący sposób:
- IELTS - 6.0 (minimum 6.0 z części speaking)
- TOEFL – 80 (minimum 20 z części speaking)
- CV w języku angielskim
- Matematyka powinna być zdawana na maturze (może być na podstawie), dodatkowo dyplom ukończenia szkoły średniej powinien być równy holenderskiemu dyplomowi VWO, co oznacza, że osoby, które skończą Technikum, mogą mieć problem z pozytywnym rozpatrzeniem aplikacji.

The Bachelor of Science Tourism prepares you for a broad range of MSc programmes or direct career opportunities. With strong knowledge of sustainable tourism development, graduates entered careers in the domains of Leisure & Tourism; Environmental Sciences; Society & Culture; Economics & Management, and International Development.
Graduates are equipped to fill a range of positions, such as Strategic Policy Advisor, Business Analyst, Consultant at the European Commission, Social Impact Consultant, Sustainable Tourism Consultant or Project Leader at the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy.
Work is carried out from a broader conceptual perspective than that of a future practice-oriented marketeer, project leader or entrepreneur.
Obtain a Master's Degree
After finishing your Bachelor of Science Tourism you may choose to continue your education in master's programmes in tourism, international development, economics & management, or environment & landscape. Our graduates have enrolled in more than 35 different master studies at over 20 different universities domestically and abroad.
