The Psychology Bachelor’s programme focuses on three domains:
- Brain & Cognition. How does the brain work and what role does it play in our behaviour? This domain focuses on the anatomy of the brain. You study language, learning, memory, perception, and emotions. You also focus on disorders such as strokes and dementia.
- Development & Mental Health. What developmental changes do people go through over the course of their lives, from infancy to old age? In this domain you study the cognitive, motor, moral and social-emotional development of humans. You learn how our social context (family, school, work, and culture) influences our wellbeing, and you practice how to recognise and treat psychological disorders in children, adults and the elderly.
- Behaviour & Environment. How do groups and cultures influence our thoughts, emotions and behaviours? This domain teaches you everything you need to know about interpersonal relationships, group behaviour, stereotypes and prosocial and antisocial behaviour. You study how people interact with each other and how they influence each other, be it, in families, at sports clubs or at work.

- At RU students have to really like to do research, to write and to analyze, because most of the assignments are written.
- RU has free writing classes at which students can attend if they struggle with academic writing (most of the students attends them).
- Students mostly can learn Dutch for free and get 50% discount to learn other languages like Spanish, Chinese or other 15 languages.
- Easy to find a job as a student – lots of shops, bars, restaurants. Student who gave me a tour said all his friends found a job in 2-3 months.

Spełnienie wymagań w zakresie języka angielskiego można udokumentować w jeden z następujących sposobów:
- IELTS – 6.0
- TOEFL – 80
Uwaga: niektóre kierunki na tej uczelni mają jeszcze wymagania dotyczące wyników poszczególnych części egzaminów językowych - jeśli nie masz pewności czy Twój wynik jest wystarczający na tą uczelnię, skontaktuj się z nami - napisz na który kierunek chcesz aplikować i załącz skan swojego certyfikatu.
Jest to program NUMERUS FIXUS. Oznacza to, że ma wcześniejszy termin aplikacji oraz aplikanci przechodzą proces selekcji.
Na proces selekcji składają się:
- Egzamin wstępny
- Zadanie motywacyjne w postaci formularza online
- Oceny
Konieczne są również:
- CV w języku angielskim
- Matematyka - ten przedmiot powinien być nauczany przez cały okres trwania liceum, minimalna ocena na świadectwie: 3.
- Matematyka musi być zdawana na maturze (może być na podstawie, zdana na co najmniej 40%). Matura z biologii jest zalecana ale nie wymagana.
Każdy kto ukończył szkołę średnią i aplikuje na tę uczelnię ze świadectwem ukończenia szkoły, musi przesłać dodatkowo transkrypt ocen (lub świadectwo wraz z tłumaczeniem) z przedostatniej klasy.
Maturzyści zobowiązani są do przesłania transkryptu ocen końcowych z dwóch przedostatnich klas oraz semestralnych z ostatniej klasy.

Since behaviour plays a role absolutely everywhere, you can find psychologists working in a wide range of functions and sectors, including aid, education, human resources management, public policy, counselling, training, coaching, sport and advertising. However, no matter how different the fields of work are, the psychologist's mission remains the same: to contribute to quality of life and society by changing unhealthy and undesirable behaviour.
