MSc in Software Engineering
Software is included in many aspects of our daily lives, both in companies and society in general. Therefore, there is a great need for software experts to develop products that are relevant to both consumers and businesses and which meet the needs of society.
In the master's degree programme in software engineering, you learn to develop innovative and complex software products and services. Simultaneously, you will be able to improve the products and services we know today. You will learn how technology is best used to develop efficient solutions – not only from a technical point of view but also from a user perspective.
Five subject areas
The study programme has four subject areas:
- Software Engineering
- Programming
- Information Technology
- Industry and Society
- Engineering Foundation and Practice
Na studia magisterskie mogą kandydować wszyscy, którzy ukończyli studia licencjackie lub inżynierskie (studia I stopnia), studia magisterskie lub studiują na ostatnim roku studiów I-stopnia. Studia, które planujesz powinny mieć zbliżony profil do tych obecnych lub ukończonych, ponieważ w procesie rekrutacji kluczowa jest ich zgodność programowa.
- Wykaz punktów ECTS – osoby, które są jeszcze w trakcie studiów, muszą załączyć wypis punktów ECTS, w którym będzie wykazane, jakie przedmioty były realizowane na studiach oraz ile punktów za nie otrzymano.
- Dyplom ukończenia studiów licencjackich lub inżynierskich – jeśli jesteś absolwentem wyższej uczelni, nie potrzebujesz wypisu, wystarczy załączyć dyplom ukończenia studiów wraz z suplementem (w języku angielskim lub oryginał z tłumaczeniem)
- TOEFL IBT - 88. For validation, we need to receive a score report directly from the test center. To select University of Southern Denmark as recipient, use the code 7969. Please choose "other - department not listed". If you have already taken the test, you can still make a request for the test center to forward the report. Please inform us once you have made such a request.
- IELTS - 6.5

To apply for the master's programme in Software Engineering, you need a relevant Bachelor's degree.
You can also apply if you hold another, similar degree. Once you have applied the Faculty will perform an assessment of your degree. To be considered, your degree must include a minimum of:
- 20 ECTS in Software Development and Programming
- 5 ECTS in Operating Systems
- 5 ECTS in Distributed Systems and Networking
- 5 ECTS in Database Systems
- 5 ECTS in Algorithms and Data Structures
- 5 ECTS in Statistics
If your degree does not fulfill the entry requirements, the study board will decide whether you can follow one or more supplementary courses.
