The ability to manage a construction project both in practice and digitally is absolutely critical in today's construction sector. In the Master of Science (MSc) in Technology (Construction Management and Building Informatics) programme you learn about construction and project management, organisation and ICT solutions in the construction industry. After the first semester, you select a specialisation in either construction management or building informatics.

The programme is particularly targeted to those with a professional bachelor’s degree, such as constructing architects, and during the programme you write your projects in close collaboration with companies.

This is a fulltime study programme, which is characterised by problem based project work in groups. You will be working closely with other students most of the time, and you are required to be present at the university on a daily basis  and spend a vast majority of your day here.

SPECIALISATION IN CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT

In the Construction Management specialisation, you learn about organisation, communication, collaboration and relationships, legal issues, finance, project management, working environment, geotechnics, risk management, quality assurance and logistics. You work with the interplay between project planning and execution, and with analysis and development of systems for management and quality assurance of production in relation to the construction sector.


SPECIALISATION IN BUILDING INFORMATICS

In the Building Informatics specialisation, you work with specification, design, implementation and evaluation of ICT solutions in the construction industry. You learn about the construction industry's business processes, information needs and communication analysis, and you gain in-depth knowledge of management and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Wymagania rekrutacyjne

Na studia magisterskie mogą kandydować wszyscy, którzy ukończyli studia licencjackie lub inżynierskie (studia I stopnia), studia magisterskie lub studiują na ostatnim roku studiów I-stopnia. Studia, które planujesz powinny mieć zbliżony profil do tych obecnych lub ukończonych, ponieważ w procesie rekrutacji kluczowa jest ich zgodność programowa.

  • Wykaz punktów ECTS – osoby, które są jeszcze w trakcie studiów, muszą załączyć wypis punktów ECTS, w którym będzie wykazane, jakie przedmioty były realizowane na studiach oraz ile punktów za nie otrzymano.
  • Dyplom ukończenia studiów licencjackich lub inżynierskich – jeśli jesteś absolwentem wyższej uczelni, nie potrzebujesz wypisu, wystarczy załączyć dyplom ukończenia studiów wraz z suplementem (w języku angielskim lub oryginał z tłumaczeniem)
Wymagania odnośnie języka angielskiego

Wyniki z testu z języka angielskiego należy przesłać do 31 lipca. Wraz z aplikacją musisz koniecznie przesłać certyfikat lub potwierdzenie zapisania się na honorowany przez tą uczelnię test językowy - w potwierdzeniu musi być Twoje imię, nazwisko i termin, w którym będziesz zdawać test.

Spełnienie wymagań w zakresie języka angielskiego można udokumentować w następujący sposób:

  • IELTS – 6.5

  • TOEFL – 88

  • Professional Bachelor’s in Building Construction
  • Bachelor's in Civil Engineering from Aalborg University
  • Bachelor of Engineering (Construction)
Dodatkowe wymagania

Students are required to have obtained a BSc in Architectural Design or equivalent from a recognised university or school, and to have achieved a grade of good standard. All candidates are expected to have a solid background in CAD and mathematics.

SPECIALISATION IN CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT

With the Master of Science (MSc) in Technology (Construction Management and Building Informatics) programme, with a specialisation in Construction Management, you can be employed by consulting companies, architectural firms, consulting engineers, contracting companies, construction companies and materials suppliers. Here you can solve a variety of tasks such as

  • Project manager for major constructions

  • Consulting in the construction industry

  • Planning and management of construction companies


SPECIALISATION IN BUILDING INFORMATICS

With a specialisation in Building Informatics you acquire a profile where technology and organisation can be combined in many exciting ways. The specialisation equips you to work in the area of tension between software developers, suppliers and users of ICT systems in construction companies. You will typically work on how information and communication technologies can support the company's work processes.

With a specialisation in Building Informatics you can, for example,

  • Do risk and project management based on BIM models

  • Advise clients on the use of ICT and BIM

  • Implement new software

  • Engage in software development projects
