Animation
This programme runs within the department of Creative Professions and Digital Arts, it is for people who are interested in any aspect of animation. We have specialist tracks in the degree for people looking to go into the Film/TV VFX industry, the games industry, and a more general "digital art" track.
We welcome people with a background in art, both digital and traditional, although this is not a requirement – we are more interested in seeing a passion for the subject area and that you have experimented with creative production of some kind (eg, photography, drawing, video work). During your studies you will develop excellent communication skills and great creative aesthetics, not only in the area of 3D digital design and animation but also in other fields close to your discipline: architecture, motion graphics, fine art, character design, modeling.
The programme offers interrelated areas of study in 3D typography, modeling, animation design techniques, software/hardware skills and processes, film, 3D motion graphics, television, computer games, advertising, VFX, architectural and medical industries.
Graduates from this programme work in a range of creative industries including the VFX industry for both film and TV work, the games industry, in a number of different roles, and the design industry generally, in areas such as product design, architectural visualisation and others.
Przynajmniej 75% z trzech przedmiotów z matury na poziomie podstawowym i przynajmniej 70% z dwóch przedmiotów na poziomie rozszerzonym. Uwaga: niektóre kierunki mogą mieć wyższe wymagania.
Świadectwo ukończenia drugiej klasy (liceum) lub trzeciej klasy (technikum) – załącz ten dokument jeśli wciąż się uczysz i dlatego nie masz jeszcze świadectwa ukończenia szkoły średniej. Nie musisz załączać tłumaczenia tego dokumentu.
Świadectwo dojrzałości oraz świadectwo ukończenia szkoły średniej – w przypadku ukończenia szkoły średniej wystarczy, że do formularza aplikacyjnego załączysz świadectwo dojrzałości (maturalne) wraz ze świadectwem ukończenia liceum (bądź technikum) - do obu tych dokumentów potrzebne jest też tłumaczenie przysięgłe.
Ważne jest, by uczelnia otrzymała wyniki testu z języka angielskiego do 31 lipca.

The growth of digital media and the computer arts industries has created a high demand for talented designers and animators, so you could find yourself with a career in film, animation, TV, video games design or the digital interactive media industry. You may go on to specialise in computer animation, digital arts, scientific visualisations, post-production or visual effects. There are also opportunities in other design-related fields that need 3D skills, such as product or urban design, or architecture and landscape.
Typically, you can expect 12 contact hours per week in classes of around 30 students. Teaching is a mixture of studio work, seminars, lectures and workshops; we ensure that the teaching type is matched to get the best out of the content, so you won't be sitting in lectures learning how to use a 3D Animation package, for example; you'll be getting hands on time and learning by experimenting and completing projects.
