Become a leader in Robotics and Automation

Are you ready to take a step into the future? Our Master's program in Robotics and Automation provides you with the tools and knowledge needed to become an entrepreneur in one of the fastest-growing areas.

By combining theory and practice, you will learn to design and program advanced robotic systems and automation solutions. Our courses are developed in close collaboration with industry partners, ensuring that you receive the most relevant and up-to-date knowledge

Previous students have successful careers at leading tech companies and research institutions. Imagine being part of the fourth industrial revolution, contributing to the creation of smart factories and sustainable solutions for the future.

Become a key player in the smart factories of tomorrow

As an automation engineer, you will work on developing and implementing advanced automation solutions that make factories smarter and more efficient. By leveraging the latest technologies in AI and IoT, you will create systems and processes that enhance efficiency, improve quality, and make workplaces safer and more ergonomic.

By automating hazardous or repetitive tasks in manufacturing, you reduce the risk of injury and create safer, more ergonomic workplaces. Automation plays a key role in building a more sustainable industry. As an automation engineer, you’ll lead projects that reduce energy consumption, minimize material waste, and optimize production processes for long-term environmental impact.

In the role of project manager, you’ll coordinate cross-functional teams to implement smart, efficient, and eco-friendly automation solutions. Your work will not only drive innovation and productivity but also support the global shift toward greener, more responsible manufacturing.

Here is an estimated breakdown of how you’ll spend your time:

  • Lectures (20%)
  • Seminars (5%)
  • Automation lab (30%)
  • Independent or self-study (20%)
  • Thesis work (25%)

Distance learning

Delivered through University West’s digital learning platform. You participate in lectures, seminars, and assignments online. You are required to attend to one physical meetings on campus during the academic year.

The mode of instruction varies depending on the course. In some courses, students attend live lectures and seminars held during daytime hours (between 8 AM and 5 PM). These sessions are conducted in real time by the instructor. All lectures are recorded and made available for later viewing on the learning platform.

Other courses are entirely asynchronous, with all materials pre-recorded and accessible via the learning platform. These courses typically include scheduled Q&A sessions, where students can join live to ask questions and receive feedback on their assessments.

All examinations are conducted digitally and remotely. Some assessments must be completed at a specific time during the day, while others consist of assignments that must be submitted by a designated deadline.

Dodatkowe wymagania
  • Bachelor of Science in computer engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or industrial engineering and management. Additionally, the degree must be comprised of a minimum of 5 credits in programming and 15 credits in mathematics.

Many companies struggle to find qualified automation engineers, which means there are excellent opportunities for those with the right skills and education. Automation engineers will play a key role in driving technological innovation and efficiency across a wide range of industries, including manufacturing, automotive, pharmaceuticals, food production, energy and power, electronics and semiconductors, logistics, and construction.

As an automation engineer, you’ll have the chance to work internationally – your skills are in demand all over the world. Explore new cultures and work environments while developing innovative solutions that improve production processes globally.
