Everything around you is chemistry. Even you yourself are chemistry. In this Bachelor’s programme, you will get theoretical knowledge and practical skills to understand the world at a molecular level.

The English-taught Bachelor's programme in Chemistry takes 3 years. Every academic year is divided into four periods of ten weeks each. Every period consists of lectures and lab classes, concluded by two weeks of exams. As a student of Chemistry you will experience different modes of instruction. In the first year you will do practicals and projects with your fellow students. Next to that, you will follow lectures and work in small groups in tutorials and computer practicals. Tutorials involve about 20 students. The rest of the time you will devote to independent study. Considerable time is spent on developing experimental lab skills and learning how to carry out research in duos or teams, which means you will have lots of contact with your fellow students.

- At RU students have to really like to do research, to write and to analyze, because most of the assignments are written.
- RU has free writing classes at which students can attend if they struggle with academic writing (most of the students attends them).
- Students mostly can learn Dutch for free and get 50% discount to learn other languages like Spanish, Chinese or other 15 languages.

Spełnienie wymagań w zakresie języka angielskiego można udokumentować w jeden z następujących sposobów:
- IELTS – 6.5
- TOEFL – 90
Uwaga: niektóre kierunki na tej uczelni mają jeszcze wymagania dotyczące wyników poszczególnych części egzaminów językowych - jeśli nie masz pewności czy Twój wynik jest wystarczający na tą uczelnię, skontaktuj się z nami - napisz na który kierunek chcesz aplikować i załącz skan swojego certyfikatu.
- Chemia - ten przedmiot powinien być nauczany przez cały okres trwania liceum.
- Matematyka, biologia i chemia muszą być zdawane na maturze (na poziomie rozszerzonym, zdane na minimum 50%).
- CV w języku angielskim.
Każdy kto ukończył szkołę średnią i aplikuje na tę uczelnię ze świadectwem ukończenia szkoły, musi przesłać dodatkowo transkrypt ocen (lub świadectwo wraz z tłumaczeniem) z przedostatniej klasy.
Maturzyści zobowiązani są do przesłania transkryptu ocen końcowych z dwóch przedostatnich klas oraz semestralnych z ostatniej klasy.
After your studies
As a Chemistry graduate you can get straight down to work after finishing your studies as there is virtually no unemployment among chemists. Companies are constantly seeking young talent and the education sector is in desperate need of teachers. After graduating as a chemist, you can continue doing research at a company or a university. You could also go in another direction, such as obtaining your first-level teaching qualification or work as consultant or manager.
