With a Master’s degree in Risk and Safety Management you will be able to help both public and private companies to create an overview of their safety and risks and to help them reach their goals within these fields.
During the Master’s programme you will gain knowledge about basic probability theory and collection of data within risk analysis and the social conditions that are relevant to risk control. Furthermore, you will be presented with the theoretical methods and strategies that are used in risk perception and -communication.
During your education you will learn how to apply risk analysis and simulations to identify the crisis situations and risks that can occur when a project is carried out in a company. You will learn to work out plans to handle projects and to gain insight into implementation methods, ways to carry out routine tests and reporting.
Na studia magisterskie mogą kandydować wszyscy, którzy ukończyli studia licencjackie lub inżynierskie (studia I stopnia), studia magisterskie lub studiują na ostatnim roku studiów I-stopnia. Studia, które planujesz powinny mieć zbliżony profil do tych obecnych lub ukończonych, ponieważ w procesie rekrutacji kluczowa jest ich zgodność programowa.
- Wykaz punktów ECTS – osoby, które są jeszcze w trakcie studiów, muszą załączyć wypis punktów ECTS, w którym będzie wykazane, jakie przedmioty były realizowane na studiach oraz ile punktów za nie otrzymano.
- Dyplom ukończenia studiów licencjackich lub inżynierskich – jeśli jesteś absolwentem wyższej uczelni, nie potrzebujesz wypisu, wystarczy załączyć dyplom ukończenia studiów wraz z suplementem (w języku angielskim lub oryginał z tłumaczeniem)
Wyniki z testu z języka angielskiego należy przesłać do 31 lipca. Wraz z aplikacją musisz koniecznie przesłać certyfikat lub potwierdzenie zapisania się na honorowany przez tą uczelnię test językowy - w potwierdzeniu musi być Twoje imię, nazwisko i termin, w którym będziesz zdawać test.
Spełnienie wymagań w zakresie języka angielskiego można udokumentować w następujący sposób:
IELTS – 6.5
TOEFL – 88
BSc degree in:
- Chemistry
- Structural and Civil Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Public Health Science
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Economics
- Bachelor of Architechtural Technology and Cosntruction Management
All applicants are evaluated individually. Students with another Bachelor’s degree may be admitted following an academic assessment if the applicant is considered to have comparable educational prerequistes.
With a Master’s degree in Risk and Safety Management your future career might be in the oil- and gas industry, the civil engineering sector, the transport sector, or the public sector. You can work as for instance:
- a risk analyst
- an environmental coordinator
- an engineer
- a project manager
You will be able to identify the risks connected to a company’s operations, to analyse risks, and to make suggestions for reducing or avoiding risk in accordance with both the legislation and relevant standards within the area. Furthermore, in connection with operations, you will be able to set up possible crisis scenarios and work out plans for coping with such situations. Moreover, you will be able to work with preparation and implementation of procedures for managing safety and health in risky operations.
In the future, it is expected that the area of risk and safety management will be characterised by remarkable growth. In a recent market survey among companies in the industries mentioned above, 94% of the respondents answered that they were expecting a rise in the number of employees within the field. This is supported by announcements from trade organisations such as Danish Industry: “The industry is increasingly being challenged in Risk and Safety Management which is why we see a need for more knowledge and competence development in this field.”
With a degree in Risk and Safety Management, you will become part of a field which will be marked by growth and development in the future. The possibilities of making a career for oneself in either Denmark or overseas are therefore great.
