That's why I chose the IB Fast Track programme at HU University of Applied Sciences in the Netherlands.
One of the biggest advantages of the programme is its international community. Every day, I work with ambitious students from different countries, which has helped me improve my communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. Learning to collaborate with people from different cultural backgrounds is an experience that will be valuable throughout my career.
Another reason I chose this programme was its strong focus on internships. Gaining real work experience while studying is an excellent way to build practical skills and prepare for the job market. The programme also provides a broad understanding of business, making it a great choice if you're interested in developing a solid foundation before specialising.
Before moving abroad, I was a little nervous about starting a completely new chapter in my life. Fortunately, the university made the transition much easier than I expected.
I joined the Buddy Programme, where experienced students helped me settle into my new surroundings, explore the city, make new friends, and answer all the questions I had during my first weeks. It made arriving in the Netherlands feel exciting instead of overwhelming.
Another thing I really appreciate is how welcoming the Netherlands is for international students. People are friendly, supportive, and almost everyone speaks excellent English, so it's easy to communicate and quickly feel at home.
Looking back, choosing to study in the Netherlands has been one of the best decisions I've made. I've gained valuable knowledge, met amazing people from around the world, and developed skills that will stay with me long after graduation.
