As a fully qualified IT technologist, you get the opportunity to choose exactly the direction you are passionate about.

Do you want to design and implement advanced IP networks, immerse yourself in cybersecurity or develop relevant applications for web, server/desktop or embedded systems?

The IT Technology program gives you a basic IT education where you specialize in programming, cybersecurity or enterprise infrastructure and you are trained to take on specific positions directly after completing the program such as application developer, security analyst or network specialist.

Programme structure

The program for IT technology combines theory and practice. The first three semesters take place at the academy. The first year is basic education within IT technology where you will experience practice-oriented and realistic classroom teaching. We do more case and project work than lecturing and the working methods reflect what you will encounter in practice and later in jobs.

In the third semester, you choose the direction you want to specialize in. Here you will have the opportunity to immerse yourself in a specific field of knowledge together with a company. Next to the chosen specialization, you will learn relevant processes and tools for automation and scaling within your chosen direction.

In the fourth and final semester, you will do an internship where the knowledge and skills you have obtained during the first three semesters will come into play and be tested. After the internship is completed, you will submit a paper for your final exam. We recommend that you work with the same overall problem area in your specialization, the internship, and the final exam project to get you as ready as possible for the great number of interesting jobs waiting for you after graduation.

The first year of basic education within IT technology has four core areas. As the education progresses, you will use the learning from these core areas in interdisciplinary projects.

Specialization

All students must choose one of nine electives, each belonging to one of three specializations at the start of your third semester.
