What could be more rewarding than preparing women and their families to bring new life into the world?
Our degree will prepare you for the responsibilities of a career as a registered midwife. We will provide you with the skills required to meet the needs of both women and babies. Here you will learn accountability for the hugely important role you will play in their lives, both during and after pregnancy.
You will learn to develop and maintain a trusting relationship with women and their families from a wide range of different social and cultural backgrounds. During your studies you will learn to recognise the biomedical changes of pregnancy and childbirth, as well as influences on expectant mothers' mental, social and emotional wellbeing.
In order to develop multi-professional and collaborative working, during our three year degree we offer shared learning between midwifery and nursing students. It is here you will develop the skills of an autonomous practitioner, working closely with other members of the multidisciplinary team in hospitals and the local community. Shared learning will be in areas such as biological and social sciences, professional values, ethics, research and informatics.
Our degree is made up of 50% theory, 50% practice and you will be assessed in both. We have an innovative teaching team that will allow you to work under the expert supervision of experienced midwives.
Przynajmniej 75% z trzech przedmiotów z matury na poziomie podstawowym i przynajmniej 70% z dwóch przedmiotów na poziomie rozszerzonym. Uwaga: niektóre kierunki mogą mieć wyższe wymagania.
Świadectwo ukończenia drugiej klasy (liceum) lub trzeciej klasy (technikum) – załącz ten dokument jeśli wciąż się uczysz i dlatego nie masz jeszcze świadectwa ukończenia szkoły średniej. Nie musisz załączać tłumaczenia tego dokumentu.
Świadectwo dojrzałości oraz świadectwo ukończenia szkoły średniej – w przypadku ukończenia szkoły średniej wystarczy, że do formularza aplikacyjnego załączysz świadectwo dojrzałości (maturalne) wraz ze świadectwem ukończenia liceum (bądź technikum) - do obu tych dokumentów potrzebne jest też tłumaczenie przysięgłe.
Ważne jest, by uczelnia otrzymała wyniki testu z języka angielskiego do 31 lipca.
Spełnienie wymagań w zakresie języka angielskiego można udokumentować w następujący sposób:
Rozszerzona matura z języka angielskiego zdana na przynajmniej 75%
IELTS - 6.0
TOEFL – 80
*Wymagania językowe mogą się różnić w zależności od kierunku.
Employment opportunities exist in midwifery in institutional and community settings and also in research, management and education.
